Welcome to the Household Cavalry

The Household Cavalry is made up of the two most senior regiments in the British Army: The Life Guards and The Blues & Royals. It is divided into the Household Cavalry Regiment and the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. Since 1660, the soldiers of Household Cavalry have acted as the monarch’s trusted guardians, as well as being the public face of the British Army both at home and abroad.

The Household Cavalry Museum is a living Museum in the heart of Horse Guards, Whitehall, London.

We are currently open 11am-4pm (last entry 3pm) Friday to Sunday.

As soon as we can we will re-open daily:

  • 10am – 6pm, April to October
  • 10am – 5pm, November to March
  • Last admission 45 minutes before closing.
