The Household Cavalry Associations consist of The Life Guards Association (formed in 1928) and The Blues and Royals Association (formed in 1969).
The Household Cavalry have been involved in most conflicts since the end of WW2 more recently before the Union in 1992 The Blues and Royals deployed to the Falklands Conflict and The Life Guards deployed to the Gulf for Gulf War 1. Since the Union in 1992 the Household Cavalry Regiment has deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo, Gulf War 2 and Afghanistan.
