The Digital Platform

This website offers a public facing space to find details about RHQ, HCR, HCMR and the Associations. It will provide snippets of news updates and an area to view Regimental Journals. However, HCav Family members can join the App or Web-App for far more content and a much greater opportunity to connect.
Mobile App
Downloadable to Android or iOS, you will need an HCav Group Code to register. You can search for and connect with old friends and members local to you, plus you can join a wide range of regimental, social, career, wellbeing or interest groups that are supported with event and chat functions. We have a full-time help desk to assist you if you have any problems help@militaryapp.org
Web-App
For those that might struggle using a smartphone or simply prefer to work from a larger laptop or home computer, we have built a web-app version of the app that uses the same login details and operates from the same back-end system. If you are a group admin or are posting content regularly, the web-app may help make that process more efficient.
What is different about Household Cavalry Connect?
Our community has been spread out without one place for members and family to connect and engage: When you or your partner leave the Regiment it is easy to become disconnected; Social media sites can be hard to control and often there is too much white noise; The Association use a CRM email system for outward communications but are restricted in their ability to connect one member to another or support large numbers of smaller social engagements; Often it is very difficult for isolated family, serving soldiers or veterans to search for and meet with other members of the HCav family in their town or county.
The HCav Connect app and web-app platform offer a private space with a Pinboard to share photos, updates and digital Journals; private groups, events and chat to strengthen unit identity, build esprit de corps and support local activity; Member’s identity shows their cap-badge as well as any number of affiliated or antecedent regiments, with the ability to search by service dates, postings, location and industry; A Support Suite with over 650 selected support videos and a library of 250+ searchable support charities. All this can help to generate organic community growth and act as an all informed net for us all to access when we feel like it.

App Updates and Preview
NEW Web-App
The Web-App means you can access all the features and the same platform via your laptop or home computer, making Household Cavalry Connect far more accessible.
NEW Remember Password
New login settings so you can set the phone app to remember your password and skip the sign in screen each time you re-enter the app. Once set up, no more forgetting your password.
NEW HCav Family Groups
There are new HCav Family Regional groups that will share updates and events from all the groups in the region, providing an all-informed regional net.
NEW HCav Media
HCav Connect Media is a group with new videos telling human stories of shared experience from the Regiment.

Support Suite
Within the HCav Connect app or web-app members can access a Support Suite with over 650 selected support videos or a library of 250+ support organisations.

NEW Event Functions
Event organisers can now add a file with extra admin details to their event advert and can set any number of event questions as part of the RSVP.
The Wider Military App Community
Although you will enter the platform through your HCav groups and pinboard, you have the option to connect and engage with people, events and groups across the entire Military App community, made up of thousands of members, hundreds of existing events and an extensive range of support. The reason for this is to help strengthen the depth of the community and bolster local connection and engagement. As part of this we have 70+ Walk+Talk groups (an original HCav initiative that has now spread across multiple regiments) that have been creating localised connection across the UK & internationally.
