This February Half Term, trot on to start your adventure at the Household Cavalry Museum!
Don’t miss out on our exciting Cavalry Craft sessions—a fun, hands-on way to get creative and discover the history of the horses of the Household Cavalry. Our craft sessions run from 11:30am to 12:30pm, so get ready to unleash your inner artist!
There will be a short talk about the Horses of the Household Cavalry after the guard change at 11.30am.
And that’s just the beginning—check out the ultimate itinerary for the best experience:
10:00am – The museum opens, and your adventure begins!
10:15am – 10:45am – Peek through the glass viewing window to see the mighty Military Working Horses being prepped for the Changing of the King’s Life Guard. It’s a fantastic chance to witness their grooming and their saddles going on!
10:50am – Head outside on Horse Guards Parade and get best spot by the chains as the Life Guards and Blues and Royals prepare to trot into action!
11:00am – Get ready to be awed by the Changing of the Guard Ceremony—a grand spectacle you won’t forget.
11:30am – Head into the museum for an epic horsey trail and craft activities. And don’t miss your chance to try on the ceremonial uniform—feel like part of the action!
12:00pm – Stick around to watch the changeover of the Horse sentries at the front of the building.
With so much to see and do, this is a must-visit experience for families!
